Do you actually know your own tech?

Most organizations run on tools they never really chose, and could not tell you who actually holds their data. Before you can decide whether your tech matches your values, you have to know what you are using. This is the first step: seven plain questions, about two minutes. Your answers stay in your browser, we never see them, and there is nothing to sign up for.

It is completely fine to answer “I’m not sure.” That is the most useful answer there is, because every “not sure” is something worth finding out.

1.Do you know where your website and online services are hosted?

2.What runs your organization’s email?

3.Where do your files and documents live?

4.What do you use for video calls and meetings?

5.Who controls your domain name?

6.Where does your customer or contact list live?

7.How do you measure who visits your website?
