Privacy Policy

Most privacy policies are written to protect the company, not to inform you. We do it the other way around. Desk Ready exists to help people get their data out of the hands of companies that profit from it, so it would be strange if we quietly collected more than we needed or hid what we do with it. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

Last updated: June 15, 2026.

The short version

  • We collect only what you hand us, like your name and email when you contact us or book a call.
  • We also see a small amount of anonymous, cookie-free usage data, so we know which pages are useful. It is not tied to you.
  • We host our own tools instead of renting Big Tech’s, so your information stays on infrastructure we control.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. Not now, not ever.
  • You can ask what we have about you and tell us to delete it, any time.

Who we are

In this policy, “Desk Ready,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the business operating this website at deskready.com. Desk Ready is a registered trade name (DBA) of Karmoxie, LLC. You can reach us any time at email us or by mail at Desk Ready, PO Box 222, Confluence, PA 15424.

What we collect, and why

Information you give us. When you fill out our contact form, book a call, or email us, we collect what you choose to share, usually your name, email address, and whatever you tell us about your project. We use it for one thing: to talk with you and help you. That is it.

Information collected automatically. Like any website, ours records some basic technical data when you visit, such as which pages were viewed and a rough idea of what part of the world a visit came from. Here is the part that is different: we use privacy-friendly, self-hosted analytics that do not use tracking cookies, do not build an advertising profile of you, and do not follow you to other websites. We see anonymous trends, not your identity.

What we do not do

This is the part most policies bury, so we will say it plainly. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not run advertising trackers, Google Analytics, or social media pixels on this site. We do not use cookies that follow you around the internet. If that ever changes, we will say so here first, in plain language.

The tools we use

We practice what we recommend to clients. Our scheduling, our analytics, and our core systems are self-hosted on infrastructure we control, rather than handed to large platforms that monetize data. When you book a call, your details go into our own booking system, not a third party’s marketing database. We choose tools that keep your information under our roof.

A quick word on cookies

Cookies are small files a website can store in your browser. Some are harmless and useful, like remembering a setting. Others are built to track you across many sites and feed advertising. We do not use the tracking kind. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, you have nothing to worry about here, because we are not tracking you in the first place.

How long we keep your information

We keep what you send us only as long as we need it to help you or to meet a legal or accounting requirement. When there is no longer a reason to keep it, we delete it. If you want it gone sooner, just ask.

How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and limiting who can access it. No system on the internet is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise, but keeping your data safe is genuinely the point of our business.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you. To do any of these, email email us and we will take care of it. If you live in California, the European Union, or another place with specific privacy rights, those rights apply here too, and the same email gets you to a real person.

Children

This website and our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will change the “Last updated” date above and, for anything significant, explain what changed. We will not make it longer or harder to read just to cover ourselves.

Our newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter, we send it from our own self-hosted email system. We do not use a third-party marketing platform, and we never sell or share your email address. We use double opt-in, so you confirm your subscription before we ever send you anything, and you can unsubscribe with one click from the bottom of any email.

We do not track whether you open our emails or which links you click. There is no tracking pixel and no click tracking. We would rather not watch you, and if our emails are worth reading you will tell us. That is the whole point.

Contact us

Questions about your privacy or this policy are always welcome. Email email us or write to Desk Ready, PO Box 222, Confluence, PA 15424.
